Please find attached Executive Order 10-94 establishing Florida’s Race to the Top Working Group, created to facilitate stakeholder participation in the review, evaluation and possible revision of the Memorandum of Understanding to support Florida’s Race to the Top Phase II application.
Governor Charlie Crist today announced the following appointments to Florida’s Race to the Top Working Group:
• Alberto Carvalho, Superintendent, Miami-Dade County Public Schools, Working Group Chair
• Kim Black, President, Pinellas Classroom Teachers Association
• Karin Brown, President, Florida Parent Teacher Association
• Mark Wilson, President and CEO, Florida Chamber of Commerce
• Andy Ford, President, Florida Education Association
• Debra Dowds, Executive Director, Florida Developmental Disabilities Council
• Ronald Blocker, Superintendent, Orange County Public Schools
• Megan Allen, 2010 Florida Teacher of the Year, Hillsborough County
• W.C. Gentry, Duval County School Board Member
• Candace Lankford, Volusia County School Board Member and President, Florida School Boards Association
• Senator Rudy Garcia, District 40
• Representative Jimmy Patronis, District 6
