<p>Scholarships are available from the Duval County Council of PTAs/PTSAs for 2012/2013 local unit PTA/PTSA officers to attend the 2012 Florida PTA Leadership Conference and Convention in Innisbrook, Florida.  Applications will be reviewed and awarded by the Executive Committee of the Duval County Council of PTAs/PTSAs.  The scholarships will provide for one hotel room with 2 beds, roundtrip mileage allowance from 1701 Prudential Drive to Innisbrook, and 2 registration fees.  The number of scholarships available will be dependant upon donations received and cost of hotel and registration.  Each scholarship award is for two delegates from one local unit.<br />
The following requirements must be met in order to receive the scholarship:<UL><br />
1.	Must be a new or reactivated PTA or a PTA with demonstrated need.<BR><br />
2.	Must submit a copy of your current year PTA budget and minutes from general meeting where budget was approved.<BR><br />
3.	Must have current Bylaws.<BR><br />
4.	Must make effort to attend Duval County Council meetings and trainings.<BR><br />
5.	Must submit next year’s elected officers complete contact information to DCCPTA.<br />
6.	Must submit a letter of commitment from delegate to be at Convention for the entire convention and attend all sessions including all general meetings and delegation  meeting.<BR><br />
7.	Must agree to pay own food expenses.<BR><br />
8.	Must have paid County Council dues and State/National membership dues.<BR><br />
9.	Must submit to DCCPTA a final report within 30 days of the completion of the conference containing a brief summary of the workshops attended and how your attendance was beneficial to your local unit.<BR><br />
10.	Application must be received by May 17, 2012.

A scholarship will provide for one hotel room with two beds, $30.00 gas allowance, and one registration fee.  The number of scholarships issued will depend upon donations received and cost of hotel rooms and registration. Applications will be reviewed and awarded by the Executive Committee of the Duval County Council of PTAs/PTSAs.  A local unit PTA/PTSA may only receive one scholarship.</p>
