General Meetings (unless otherwise noted in the events calendar) are held on the 3rd Tuesday of each month in the Cline Auditorium, 1st floor, School Board Building. Hospitality is from 9:30-10:00 a.m., and the meeting is from 10:00-Noon.

Duval County Council PTA is a group of local PTAs orangized under the authority of the Florida PTA. Local PTAs join the Council as a unit, not as individual members, and pay dues according to the Council bylaws. The Council president is a member of the Florida PTA Board of Directors. A County Council is the direct line of support and resource to the PTAs within its boundaries.

MISSION:

  • To support and speak on behalf of children and youth in the schools, in the community and before governmental agencies and other organizations that make decisions affecting children;
  • To assist parents in developing the skills they need to raise, protect and prepare their children;
  • To encourage parent and public involvment in the public schools.

The Jacksonville Zoo has graciously offered discounted admission for PTA members for up to four family members during the entire month of February 2012.
