Hello Advocates!
I hope the school year is off to a strong and positive start for everyone! I am encouraged by the membership numbers coming in and so proud of each unit’s efforts to grow and strengthen your voice through membership. Your dedication truly makes a difference for students and families across our county. Please continue to post your PTA events on your social media. I enjoy seeing all the hard work you all do and would love to see more.
Here are a few important updates and opportunities to keep in mind:
Next General Meeting: Mark your calendars for October 28, 2025, at the School Board Building on Prudential Drive. We look forward to seeing you there!
Training Opportunities: September and October are filled with valuable trainings open to all PTA members. I encourage both current and aspiring leaders to attend—dates and details can be found in this newsletter.
Florida PTA Kit of Materials: Florida PTA has released this year’s Kit of Materials, a helpful resource filled with tools, tips, and guidance to support your work. Be sure to review and share it with your board.
Right Foot Award: Applications are due November 1, 2025! I hope every unit is starting off on the right foot this year by staying on top of compliance. Early completion not only sets you up for success but also gives your unit the chance to be recognized at the county level.
Reflections Program: The county deadline for Reflections submissions is November 14, 2025. We can’t wait to see the creativity of our students shine through this year’s theme!
Advocacy Conferences:
Florida PTA Legislative Conference – January 25–27, 2026, in Tallahassee, FL.
National PTA Legislative Conference – March 2–4, 2026, in Alexandria, VA (in person this year!).
Thank you for your continued dedication to the mission of PTA. Together, we are off on the right foot to make this school year impactful for every child, with one voice. Because TOGETHER, we are truly “United for Students.”
