DCCPTA President’s Newsletter October 2025

October is a busy and exciting month for PTAs across our county! I am inspired by all the fall events you are planning for students and staff, and I look forward to seeing the energy, creativity, and community engagement that make our PTAs so special. This month brings several opportunities to learn, connect, and lead, as well as important compliance deadlines to keep your unit in good standing.

Here’s what you can expect in October:

  • Engage with the DCCPTA Board in a casual, open forum during Ask Us Anything, October 15.
  • Attend our General Meeting, October 28, with a lineup of district speakers covering educational programs and support services.
  • Participate in the evening Program Spotlight Series, October 28, on Exceptional Student Education (ESE) resources for families.
  • Strengthen your leadership skills with President & Treasurer Training, October 30.
  • Encourage student creativity through the Reflections Program. Entries due on November 14
  • Stay on top of compliance deadlines with Council dues, November 1, and IRS filings, November 15. Compliance is how we protect our mission and our ability to serve every child.

Thank you for your continued leadership and commitment. I look forward to seeing all the ways our PTAs make fall a season full of connection, celebration, and impact. Together, we are truly United for Students, making every child’s potential a reality.

With appreciation,

Jennifer Gubat
